Gaining Face is software which helps people with Asperger's Syndrome, high-functioning autism, and similar issues learn to recognize facial expressions. Easy to use and "ethnic friendly," Gaining Face has proven in testing to be a very effective teaching tool.

The program is being created and marketed by Team Asperger, a superbly qualified team of professionals. It includes psychologists specializing in the field, educational specialists, several parents of labeled children, a professional programmer with almost 30 years experience, and even an adult with Asperger's.

Gaining Face was designed from the outset not just to be user-friendly, but to be friendly to its particular audience. The program presents information and instruction with an organization that mirrors how these people process information and how they prefer to learn. The results from testing have been very gratifying. The software is useable with little or no instruction and is very effective in delivering the knowledge it carries. The program has consistently demonstrated favorable - and speedy - results with most variants of autism and a wide range of ages. It was even effective for one sweet little autistic child of IQ 40.

Learn the Signs. Act Early- From birth to 5 years, there are milestones your child should reach in terms of how she plays, learns, speaks, and acts. A delay in any of these areas could be a sign of a developmental problem, even autism. Fortunately, the earlier a delay is recognized, the more you can do to help your child reach their full potential.

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) is providing FREE informational packets for Parents and Health Care Professionals. The FREE kits are available to order by calling 1-800-CDC-INFO or visiting www.cdc.gov/actearly.
